Zakopane is a beatiful, vibrant, booming small town at the base of the Tatra mountains and is the ski capital of eastern Europe. We stayed in a 100 year old renovated nun’s residence.Wonderful hiking trails thru the valleys with clear, refreshing air. The town has numerous very good restaurants, bars & nightclubs. It’s a 2 hour easy bus ride to historic Krakow. All in all, it was a healthy, relaxing & educational vacation.
